i am a stay at home dad with a 3 year old son. all kids are different, my son was very easy, didn't cry much, throw-up much, or get sick much. you have to be quick with the diapers and block the piss with your hand(only happened once). wait until they want to use the computer while you are here, my son is climbing on my back as i write this. i will be bringing him with me to the gym to play baskets in a hour. any questions just ask me. have fun!

Hopefully it will start to get better real soon...if you honestly don't 'feel' some sort of special bond about now, I would be concerned...the wife baby blues thing is a tough one, I knew a girl who was completely normal had a child and was depressed for a long time, she did snap out of it!

The first few months can be trying and you will lose you're patience with crying, diapers, feeding in the middle of night etc....Once you're child develops a little personality, and you get back into a regular routine it will help. :suomi:

Yikes!! I got twins on the way. Sounds like I don't know what I'm in for. But I still can't wait.

We've all been there my friend. It can be rough at times, but I wouldn't trade my kids for the world. Best of luck to you.

:howdy: no kids for me, thank you. too mcuh $$ and too much responsibility. I'll be satified being an uncle to Kornholio's twins. I should schedulea "snip-snip" now just to be on the safe side.

Just make sure you beat them on a regular basis. Worked for my parents...well, at least one of us turned out ok.

That one obviously isn't me. But one outta two ain't bad nowadays, right?

the first 2 years are very hard on the dad . a real shock to the system.

then it becomes more fun every day .

by the time they turn 4 you would rather hang out with your kid than most of your adult friends.

hang in there .

Like WorldNumberOne says, it will get better. Toilet training is a HUGE hurdle but once you are past the diaper stage it can be a lot of fun. And forget about those Pull-ups, they just delay everything.

My daughter is now 5 years old and we are best buddies. Just always let your kid know that they are loved and everything will be fine.

I am in the toilet training phase and it is BRUTAL. The kid makes it a point to give me a big :finger: for putting him in underwear instead of diapers by pissing and shitting his pants with vigor. A real rebel, this kid. :nopityA:

everyone says boys are tougher to potty train than girls. how old is your son? we started our son at 3 and he took to it much easier than i thought he would. first two days he wet his pants every time then after a week he was pretty good.

My daughter was not easy to toilet train. We resorted to giving her 1 oreo cookie every time she made it to the toilet on her own.

It worked like a charm!

my daughter potty trained herself. just figured it out one day .

she's been figuring out shit like that her whole 10 years.. borderline genius i think ..

i tell people we are more like roommates . i just pay the bills.

it starts to get fun when they can walk and talk . the conversations you have with a 2 year old are priceless ..

This has to be a joke right? The WORST thing in the world is shitty parents. Are you really concerned more about gambling then your own child? Don't ever forget that you were once that helpless bundle and someone was there to get you through it. If you weren't ready to make the sacrifice, should have covered up junior.

Sorry bro, I have no tolerance for whiny parents. Kids are by far the greatest thing in MY world and as fucked up as I have been, I'll never fuck up being a good dad.
